READ : ACTS 2:1-4
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
MESSAGE
The power of God does not come cheap. I remember asking God to give me power to work miracles and He answered, "Start where Jesus started". I was excited, thinking I would repeat Jesus' first miracle, until the Lord pointed Matthew 4:2 out to me- where Jesus started with forty days of fasting and prayers. If you want power from God Almighty, you must be ready to conquer your flesh. When you are ruled by the Spirit, not the flesh, then God can trust you with power. If you can get addicted to fasting, prayer, studying the Bible and holiness, then you are a candidate that God can consider for the possession of divine power. When I talk about holiness and living above sin as one of my major secrets of power, some people think I am only being legalistic, but when you read Hebrews 1:9, you will see that you must love righteousness and hate iniquity for God to anoint you.
Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27 that he put his body under subjection. He said also that he fasted often (2 Corinthians 11:27). What was the result of all these? Acts 19:11-12 says that when demons saw his handkerchiefs, they ran; that is power. When I am fasting and emphasising holiness everyday, I know what I am doing. I am seeing the results in my life so l will not stop. Several years ago, the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International invited me to preach on 'The New Anointing'. By the time I had finished speaking, I had to sneak away into the car because everybody wanted to touch me. There was a man running after me with a handkerchief in his hand.
Fortunately, he was able to reach the car and he rubbed his handkerchief on it before I drove off. Back at home, there was a little girl who was so demon-possessed that it took six men to hold her down. He arrived on the scene, touched the girl with the handkerchief and she became normal again.
If you want this type of power, you must be willing to pay the price. You must learn to put your flesh under subjection, and God will give you power to do great things for Him
KEY POINT
You must start minding spiritual things above physical ones if you want the power of God in your life.

TOPIC: SECRETS AND CHANNELS OF DIVINE HEALING.
SCRIPTURE: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 JOHN 2.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The forgiveness of iniquities is connected to the healing of diseases.
Our anchor Scripture makes it abundantly clear that it is the perfect Will of God for His people to live in health. There are Scriptural provisions for the healing and health of God’s people.
However, many children of God are far from living in health. And a major reason for this is that there is no divine provision in Scripture without a condition for man. When God gives a provision, it comes with conditions and those conditions in this context are the secrets and channels of divine health.
In our study today, we shall be looking at these secrets or channels of Divine Health so we can access them and live in health.
1. The life of Uprightness.
The life of Uprightness is one secret of Divine health.
Psalm 103:3 says: Bless the lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless his Holy name; who forgiveth all thy iniquity and health thy diseases.
The forgiveness of iniquities is connected to the healing of diseases. So, iniquities in place make diseases un-healable.
2. A merry heart and praise-full life.
Proverbs 17:22 says: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
If you are not happy, you cannot be healthy. There is something that is wrong with an unhappy person.
3. A steady diet of the word.
The Word of God is a supernatural capsule for divine health.
Psalm 107:20 says: He sent forth his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.
Feeding on the word of God kills any trace of affliction in your life.
4. The right confession.
Death and life is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).
Proverbs 12:18 says: There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
So, there are people who pierce themselves with their words. But the tongue of the wise is health.
Beloved, make up your mind to live in good health by practicing the secrets outlined above.
Remember this: The forgiveness of iniquities is connected to the healing of diseases.
ASSIGNMENT:

2. Practice the points outlined above and make up your mind to live in divine health.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to practice the secrets of living in divine health.
I receive and activate the healthy life by the Blood of Jesus Christ, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
