*ASK OF THE LORD*
Joshua 9:14-16 (KJV)
[14] *And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.*
[15] *And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.*
[16] *And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.*
God gave Israel
unprecedented victory over Jericho, then after,Joshua and his team believed they didn't need to inquire of the Lord concerning their next move, unfortunately they made a treaty with the Gibeonites, one of the enemy nations occupying their promised Land. The Gibeonites became a constant thorn in Israel's flesh. This was the greatest mistake Joshua made in his life time.

*The men of Israel looked them over and accepted the evidence. But they didn't ask God about it.*
Whenever you are embarking on any adventure, be sure you secure divine approval before you commence.
A lot of people brief God after they have made up their minds. Enquiry before taking a step will keep you out of error and many troubles.
Psalms 37:23 (KJV)
*The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.*
Beloved, stay in His presence until you secure direction. Especially when the scripture is not too clear about it. Make sure you secure His approval before you take any step.
1 Samuel 23:4 (KJV)
*Then David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.*
As long as you are genuinely waiting on the Lord, you cannot arrive late.

O Lord my God, grant me grace and a humble spirit to always inquire from you before taking steps in the mighty name of Jesus!
2. Hosea 7:10 (KJV)
*And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.*
O Lord my Father, deliver me from the spell of pride and over confidence in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. 1 Samuel 28:6 (KJV)
*And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.*
My Father and my God, do not turn your back at my prayers and enquiries at the hour of need in the mighty name of Jesus!
4. Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)
*And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.*
O Lord my God, cause me to pick your voice of direction and instruction for my destiny fulfilment in the mighty name of Jesus!
5. Deuteronomy 4:36 (KJV)
*Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.*
i. O Lord my Father, make me to hear and understand your voice of instruction in the mighty name of Jesus!
ii. O Lord my God, let your voice guide me continually in the mighty name of Jesus!
6. John 10:27 (KJV)
*My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:*
O Lord my God, grant me spiritual understanding to always discern your voice in the mighty name of Jesus!
7. John 10:5 (KJV)
*And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.*
I refuse to follow the voice of the devil and worldly voices in the mighty name of Jesus!
8. Deuteronomy 8:9 (KJV)
*A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.*
O Lord my God, lead me to my prepared place of blessing and glory in the mighty name of Jesus!
9. Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)
*Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.*
i. O Lord my Father, do marvellous things in my life, family, career, ministry in the mighty name of Jesus!
ii. O Lord my God, let your beauty and glory be visible in my life in the mighty name of Jesus!
10. Isaiah 60:11 (KJV)
*Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.*
O Lord my God, open unto me doors of lifting, promotion, wisdom, prosperity in the mighty name of Jesus!
11. Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
*The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.*
O Lord my God, arise, take over my battle and grant me peace and victory in the mighty name of Jesus!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
